Dominique Derbigny, Associate Director, Savings & Financial Capability

Areas of Expertise: Children’s Savings Accounts, Individual Development Accounts, Integrated Service Delivery

Dominique Derbigny is Associate Director for the Savings & Financial Capability team at CFED. In this role, Dominique oversees the execution of asset-building projects, and advances strategies to integrate financial capability services into various social service systems (e.g., youth workforce, housing, education, etc.). She also supports citywide efforts to counteract racial economic inequality through improving access to income and wealth-building opportunities, and by coordinating financial capability service delivery for people of color.

Prior to joining CFED, Dominique worked with United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg as Program Director for the local Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) coalition, where she provided strategic direction and oversight to expand access to free tax preparation services and to heighten support of the EITC. Dominique also worked with Clearpoint Credit Counseling Solutions, where she collaborated with practitioners to facilitate the integration of financial education and credit counseling services into existing programs.

Dominique holds a Master of Social Work degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore, and an undergraduate degree in Human Services from Elon University.
