Sean Luechtefeld, Associate Director, Communications

Areas of Expertise: Financial Inclusion, Online Communications, Strategic Communications

Sean Luechtefeld is the Associate Director of Communications at CFED. In this role, he develops and edits content for CFED's online channels and publications, collaborates on content strategy with CFED's program staff, and supports content development and logistics for CFED's events.

Previously, Dr. Luechtefeld held a variety of positions across the communications field, including coaching a nationally competitive intercollegiate debate team, managing events and online communications for a disability consulting firm in Florida, and contributing to the opening of a startup community history museum in North Carolina.

Dr. Luechtefeld earned his Ph.D. in Communication with a focus in rhetoric and political culture from the University of Maryland in 2016. He holds a B.A. in Communication Studies and a B.S. in Political Science, both from the Florida State University, and an M.A. in Communication from Wake Forest University.
