Delaware Governor to Headline Platforms for Prosperity Summit
By Dominique Derbigny on 10/01/2015 @ 10:00 AM
Jack Markell, Delaware’s 73rd Governor and longtime friend of the financial capability field, will headline CFED’s Platforms for Prosperity Summit, taking place Tuesday, November 3, in Arlington, VA. The Summit will focus on building a more financially secure workforce, and CFED invited Governor Markell to speak because of his proven commitment to leveraging the workplace to build the financial capability of all Delawareans. If you’re interested in hearing from Governor Markell and our slate of other great speakers, it’s not too late! Even though registration demand has far exceeded our expectations, we anticipate being able to make a few more slots available. Please contact us if you’re interested in attending this free event.
The Platforms for Prosperity Summit includes the following exciting features:
- Our opening plenary session will follow the compelling stories of three individuals living and working in Washington, DC, and their journey in identifying and reaching their financial goals.
- We’ve added an intensive training on integrating financial capability services into the workforce, which will allow attendees to use tools from Building Financial Capability: A Planning Guide for Integrated Services to explore what an integration process would look like for their organization.
- Due to popular demand, we’ve added a networking reception to help attendees unwind after a full day. Join us at 5:30 pm in the Washington Ballroom of the DoubleTree Crystal City for hors d’oeuvres and beverages!
