How do we maintain the momentum?

Bill Schweke, Senior Fellow in CFED's Durham, NC office writes:

As someone who had not been involved in the design, I arrived at CFED's 2009 Innovation Summit  a bit skeptical regarding the process.  But after it got underway, its intelligent design won me over.  It reminded me of a seed/venture capital event I attended, where investors and entrepreneurs could meet and scope each other out.  At the Summit, our innovators each had their own Innovation Station kiosk, where they could explain and discuss their project with their peers.  Indeed, the event was structured as a two-way "intelligence exchange" and an experiment in conference conversation.  Conferences frequently frustrate attendees, since typical ones do not allow enough time for interaction and "face time."  Here was a way to focus and harness this energy.  Now, how can this dialogue be sustained?   What forms of email interaction, web postings, and perhaps future events can maintain the momentum?  Please share your thoughts!
