Mapping the Future: 2011 NCTC National Conference

The National Community Tax Coalition (NCTC) will be hosting its 8th National Conference June 7-9 in Chicago, IL! The Conference, titled Mapping the Future, is the year’s premiere conference for the community tax preparation and asset building field.
We realize “mapping the future” is a lofty goal, but we’re not alone. We have secured several high-profile keynote speakers and panelists to help guide us.
- Dr. Robert (Bob) Giloth is Vice President, Center for Family Economic Success at the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and will be kicking things off with his keynote speech on Day 1.
- Gary Rivlin is a journalist and author of BROKE USA: From Pawnshops to Poverty, Inc. – How the Working Poor Became Big Business and will discuss his experiences with predatory practices in low-income communities.
- Dr. Avis Jones-DeWeever is Executive Director at the National Council of Negro Women and will be discussing societal challenges for low-income families later on Day 2.
