With five plenary sessions and over 60 concurrent sessions, the Assets Learning Conference has something for everyone…literally! While this year’s Conference doesn’t feature the “tracks” that have traditionally been offered, there is still an abundance of sessions that fit within your interests. Below are just a few examples.

If you’re interested in access to affordable postsecondary education…
…then be sure to attend Thursday’s breakfast plenary, The College Success Moment. You’ll also find useful Asset Building and College Success on Wednesday afternoon, and Saving for College: New Programs, New Partnerships and College Affordability and Savings, both on Thursday.

If you’re interested in entrepreneurship…
…then The Entrepreneurship Moment is the plenary session for you. Be sure to attend on Friday morning! Before that, check out Self-Employment Tax Preparation: Supporting Entrepreneurs at Tax Time and Beyond Wednesday and then choose between Creating and Growing Rural Wealth: Connecting Asset Building and Entrepreneurship Strategies and Funding for Entrepreneurship on Thursday morning. Of course, don’t miss the Entrepreneurship Fair on Thursday from 4:30-6:30, featuring entrepreneurs from throughout the DC area selling their goods and services.

If you’re an IDA administrator of AFI grantee…
…start by taking advantage of the new scholarship opportunity announced today! Then, once you’re here, check out IDA Basics on Wednesday afternoon. There are also sessions about connecting underserved communities, such as rural residents and transitioning prisoners, with IDAs. Whatever your role as an IDA advocate, there’s something for you to enjoy!

This is just a small sample of what is being offered this year. There are a wealth of sessions designed for any interest you may have, so be sure to browse the full agenda today!
