Wrapping Up
Posted on 09/23/2010 @ 02:40 PM
I’m getting ready to set up for the Entrepreneurship Fair, so I’ll be wrapping up here. Leave your comments about this incredible plenary, stay tuned for tomorrow’s sessions, and come find me at the Innovation Marketplace or at the Networking Reception/Tweetup tonight!
Following Along from Home
Posted on 09/23/2010 @ 02:39 PM
The nicest woman just gave props to the ALC live blog for covering the event in a way that makes it possible to understand what’s happening, even from afar. If you’re following along at home and couldn’t make it to DC, leave a comment and let me know who you are, or shoot me an email: sluechtefeld@cfed.

The Assets World

Wow – there are people here from EVERYWHERE. This session alone has folks from the US, Canada, the UK and Peru. Others are from Australia, Uganda, Sweden and more. It’s like a trip around the world without a plane ticket that would bankrupt me!
Agreed!

Carolina Trevilli: We need to show the government how important the assets agenda is.

Jennifer Tescher is like the spokesmodel for the Innovation Marketplace. Check out all the people she’s mentioned and more at the conclusion of this Plenary in Salon 1!
On-Ramping
Posted on 09/23/2010 @ 02:18 PM
I love that so many of the speakers this week have used the “on-ramp” analogy. It’s a perfect metaphor: you start slowly, but gain momentum as you blend with the mainstream. Love it!
Interesting Work
Posted on 09/23/2010 @ 02:16 PM
That’s so cool that Carolina has worked with indigenous women in the Andes! I did research on Andean indigenous communities in Ecuador a few years ago and it was perhaps one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve had in my life.
