Wealth Inequality Policy Inside the Beltway: Federal Policy Updates & Advocacy Strategies
Wednesday, March 29, 2017 | 2:30-3:30 pm EDT | Online Webinar
Concerned about potential rollbacks of key consumer protections? Looking for ways to advocate in this new Administration on behalf of the low-income communities you serve? CFED’s Federal Policy team is tracking these issues and more so that we can all be prepared to take quick action during these fast-moving days on the Hill.
Since January, we’ve seen a number of actions taken on Capitol Hill and within the Administration that could impact the financial stability of the families and communities you serve. So far, some of those actions have included efforts to make homeownership more expensive for new homebuyers and rolling back critical consumer protections. Despite this fast start, there are much more issues on the horizon in the coming weeks and months.
On Wednesday, March 29, from 2:30-3:30 pm EDT, CFED’s Federal Policy team held a webinar to share updates on the latest issues from all four of our campaigns: consumer protections, affordable homeownership, the safety net and tax reform. In addition, we shared tips for successful advocacy from a former Hill staffer. Attendees were invited to share their own advocacy updates and effective advocacy tools.
If you haven’t signed up for CFED’s advocacy campaigns yet, please sign up here so you can always be up to date on the latest developments on Capitol Hill.
