There are nearly 1,000 Manufactured Home Parks in the state of Minnesota that provide over 50,000 units of housing. Because approximately three communities are closed each year, resident ownership is a strategy that improves and preserves these communities. Northcountry Cooperative Development Fund has assisted several manufactured home parks to become resident-owned communities and continues to provide funding and education to future cooperative communities. This video will introduce you to the homeowners in these resident-owned parks. You will hear, in their words, the benefits of becoming a cooperative, how it is done and the results that have changed their lives.
