American Dream Match Fund: San Francisco
American Dream Match Funds: San Francisco seeks to open economic opportunity for 50 low-wage, working families and 50 at risk youth saving for college in San Francisco. 100% of your tax-deductable contribution to this fund will be used to leverage the savings of these families and will enable small business entrepreneurship, homeownership, or post-secondary education and training. Matched savings accounts and financial education will be administered by local non-profit partners, EARN and Juma Ventures.

- 100% of youth are from low-income families
- 11% of youth were convicted of a crime prior to enrollment

- Savers have a savings rate of roughly 5% of household income (significantly higher than national average)
- Opened and administered more than 2,500 matched savings accounts
- EARN has incentivized more than $3.5 million in savings by low-income households since 2002
Juma Ventures
- 100% of high school seniors enrolled at Juma graduated from high school in 2009 (compared to 46% in Oakland and 73% in San Francisco)
- 89% of these graduates are college bound
- Two years after enrollment in Juma, 97% of program alumni are still working and/or enrolled in academic or vocational training
