Individual Development Accounts
Federal and state policies to fund IDAs have helped create accounts for tens of thousands of low-income families across the country. Yet many more could benefit from the life-changing opportunity of an IDA if additional resources were made available.
CFED works actively to promote public policies that would dramatically expand savings and asset-building opportunities to millions of new accountholders. We rely on our network of IDA practitioners, financial institution partners, funders, IDA savers, advocates and other stakeholders to help make this issue a priority on Capitol Hill and in statehouses across the country.
