Welcome and Instructions

Thank you for your interest in submitting a 2010 application to innovation@cfed. This form supports applications for each of the following elements of the 2010 submission process (please follow the hyperlinks to read the details of each element).

• Innovators-in-Residence: Innovators-in-Residence are individuals who are prepared to take a proven concept to the next level during a residency with CFED's assistance. Read about the financial and technical support of the virtual or in-person residency and eligibility and selection criteria here. Application Deadline: April 15, 2010 at 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
• Innovative Ideas: Through an open and wide-ranging search, CFED identifies and aims to increase the visibility of solid concepts that have the potential to significantly impact economically vulnerable people. Selected Idea Champions will receive an expense-paid invitation to present at the 2010 Assets Learning Conference along with other valuable benefits. Read about benefits and eligibility and selection criteria here. Application Deadline: April 15, 2010 at 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
• International Ideas: An important element of developing innovation is creating connections between fresh sources of creativity that bring invigorating perspectives to a given context. International Ideas are those generated by members of the global community that have the potential to significantly impact economically vulnerable people in the United States. Selected applicants will receive an invitation, including registration and travel assistance, to share their ideas at the 2010 Assets Learning Conference. • Next Generation Innovators: CFED identifies and partners with young people (aged 18 to 30) to develop the next generation of innovative ideas that help those living in the margins of the American economy. Next Generation Innovators who are selected will receive an expense-paid invitation to present their ideas at the 2010 Assets Learning Conference, September 22-24 in Washington, DC, where they will also help to generate engagement by young people. • Innovative Entrepreneurs: CFED identifies individuals who operate a business offering products or services that they would like to feature at the exciting Innovation Marketplace, part of the 2010 Assets Learning Conference to be held September 22-24 in Washington, DC. Selected businesses will enjoy a showing in front of the conference crowd of more than 1,000 socially-motivated attendees. Read about Innovative Entrepreneurs here. It may be helpful to write your answers to narrative questions in a separate document (such as in Microsoft Word) and copy/paste the answers into the fields provided. You may want to use a program that will give you a “character count” to help you stay within the character count limits (spaces count as characters). Do not format your responses using paragraphs or bullets as formatting will be lost when submitting this form.

You will be asked to register your own online account for your application. This will allow you to save changes to your application and make changes during multiple sessions before submitting your application.
